Kabosu, the cute dog famous for his meme face, died today on May 24 2024. His famous image with a humorous note went viral in 2013 however the picture was taken in 2010. The meme made Kabosu very famous around the world gaining popularity as a most eminent meme. Her owner Atsuko Sato wrote an emotional blog post confirming her death. Kabosu was 17 years old and was I’ll for a long time. There will be a Farewell party for Kabosu on Sunday, 26th May 2024 at Flower Kaori in Kotsu no Mori, Narita City.
Doge Meme leads to the DogeCoin
Her famous meme ended up becoming a cryptocurrency, called Dogecoin. According to LADbible, Sato wrote in her blog post, about Kabosu’s death, “To all of you who loved me, Really, thank you very much. Kabocha is, The happiest person in the world, I think it was a dog. And, I, The happiest person in the world, was the owner. Kabocha is, Still now, Smiling, Wagging his tail.” She was a Japanese Shiba Inu who kind of gave a spark to meme culture and online picture jokes. From having her face as a meme she reached to becoming a cryptocurrency, Dogecoin.

How did Dogecoin dog Kabosu die?
Kabosu was suffering from leukaemia and was ill for a long time. She has been struggling with liver disease since 2022. Ms Sato told AFP in a recent interview, the “invisible power” of prayers from fans worldwide helped her pull through. she had become so used to “unbelievable” events that when Mr Musk changed the icon for Twitter, now X, to Kabosu’s face last year, she “wasn’t even that surprised”.
